Gilbert Nyamanhindi of the Nyathi Family says he had spiralled into depression in recent weeks after family problems, triggered by their success, overwhelmed him. He said he was in such a dark place that he thought the car, they bought in cash, had brought them bad luck. The car has had two accidents so far which has drained their finances, hence the plan to offload it. But he said their parents and friends had talked them out of selling the car. They would not say what their family problems were but hinted that reduced monetisation could also be a factor.
